Queue and Quitting

Cancel, remove, and clear jobs, and what happens when you quit with unsaved work.

Queue order

Jobs run one at a time in the order they were added. New files can join while a job runs. Two different files with the same name are separate jobs; the same file added twice is not.

Cancel

Cancel appears on rows that are Queued, Checking, Repairing, or Verifying. The row becomes Canceled, and no output can be saved from it. Other jobs and results are unaffected.

Remove and Clear Finished

  • The x button on a row removes it and discards any unsaved repair. It is not shown while the job is active or saving.

  • Clear Finished removes every row that is not active, Repair ready, or Saving. Unsaved repairs are kept, so you cannot lose one by accident.

Removing a row never touches your original file or a file you already saved.

Quitting with unsaved work

If checks are running or repairs are ready but unsaved, quitting asks Quit and discard unsaved work? Active checks are canceled and unsaved repaired copies are removed. Choose Keep Working to return, or Quit to leave. Original and saved files remain unchanged.

Private workspace

Dropped files are copied into a private temporary workspace and the app works on those copies, which is why your originals never change. The workspace is removed on a clean quit, and a leftover one is cleaned up on the next launch.

Advanced: Merge tiny existing edges

Under Advanced, Merge tiny existing edges is off by default; welding tolerance is zero. When on, it collapses very short edges that already exist in the mesh, within a tolerance given in STL coordinate units (the field suggests 0.00001, which is a starting value, not a recommendation for every model).

  • This may move vertices. The amount is recorded in Details.

  • The value must be finite and between 0 and 1; otherwise new files are not added.

  • It applies only to files added afterward, not to results already approved.

  • It is not general nearest-vertex welding, and units are not inferred.
